Lorraine Simpson is the founder and principal strategist of Nia Global Strategies Ltd. With over 30 years of experience in the tourism industry, she has built a career at the intersection of destination strategy, trade development, and market access — working directly with tourism boards, government ministries, and destination management organisations across Africa and the Caribbean.

Her work is focused on a specific and underserved challenge: helping destinations in the Global South build structured, sustainable market presence in North America and the UK. This requires more than marketing — it requires strategy, trade relationships, operator readiness, and the kind of long-term commitment that produces measurable results.

Lorraine has represented destinations at major North American trade events including ASTA, ACTA, and the Virtuoso Travel Week. She has developed and delivered destination specialist certification programmes for travel advisors in Canada and the United States, and has worked with tourism ministers and board executives on long-term market strategy.

She is a recognised voice in the North American travel trade media, with regular contributions to industry publications and speaking engagements at tourism conferences in Canada and the United States.
